We train for obedience, steadiness, retrieving marks on land and water and "blind retrieve". We strive for a high
level of expectation in our labs. Its why we participate in AKC and NAHRA events, to test ourselves against a standard of performance
under the scrutiny of judges. It motivates us to train and measures where we are in our training.
In the end the dogs love it and
we develop great family members and dogs who are fun to hunt with.
We start them young using Mike Lardy's "Total Retriever Training" program. It emphasizes repetition, reward, attrition,
and balanced correction. It is an organized process of steps taught in a certain order towards a trained retriever.
We
want our Labs to love training and performing drills ... and they do!!!
